Türkiye has stepped up preparations for the International Space Congress, one of the world's largest global gatherings in the space sector, which will take place in Antalya in October 2026, according to the country's Industry and Technology Ministry. Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir said coordination efforts are moving forward as the country prepares to host scientists, students, entrepreneurs, space companies, and national space agencies from around the world.

The International Space Congress will be held from Oct. 5 to 9, 2026, in Antalya, a major tourism and conference hub on Türkiye's Mediterranean coast. The congress is expected to host representatives from numerous national space agencies, alongside private sector companies, startups, academic institutions, and students working in space-related fields.

Kacir said the congress will also serve as a showcase for Türkiye's National Space Program and the country's growing ambitions in space science and technology. He confirmed that a steering committee meeting for the congress was recently held at the ministry with representatives from relevant institutions and stakeholders involved in the preparations.
